Nick is the son of a family friend, so when I heard a baby was on the way, I couldn't wait to schedule a maternity session! Pregnancy is such a beautiful thing, so my goal is to capture the raw beauty of the soon-to-be parents!I met Nick and Jess at Huntington Beach in Bay Village for a maternity sunrise session. Bay Village is such a gorgeous place for sessions in Cleveland. When the weather is warm, there is always a boat in sight and tons of beach-goers during the summer. Sunrise is my favorite time to visit Cleveland's Lake Erie Beaches. It's quiet, peaceful, and the perfect time for a maternity session!A sunrise session with perfect lighting and amazing parents-to-be as the subject is a photographer's dream. Nick and Jess were troopers as we battled the bitter cold for these gorgeous images. The wind and bone-chilling temperatures make this session one for the books.Nick and Jess are just a few short days away from being first-time parents. The last few weeks, and days, of pregnancy are so surreal. It's hard to understand your emotions especially knowing its just a waiting game! A fun fact about this couple is that Jess has a twin sister who recently had a baby! It's always exciting to see other people in the same season of life. I mean who wouldn't want a cousin who is only months apart? This little baby will be welcomed into a family surrounded by so much love.Despite the cold, Nick and Jess were glowing! This is the time to soak it all in and cherish the excitement. Everyone says the days go by so quickly after welcoming a baby into the world. And that statement couldn't hold more truth.I'm grateful to capture moments like this. Maternity sessions are the first step to documenting the sweetest journey of life.
